Q: What makes it possible for your website and your affiliates to provide products at a lower price?

A: We sell generic drugs and the price for them is lower because manufacturers are not required to duplicate original medical studies proving the safety and efficiency of the chemical compound, they can produce generic versions at a much lower cost.

Q: Why are brand name drugs more expensive than generic ones?

A: They are more expensive because of the patent system. Most new drugs, when they are first introduced are patent-protected by the government for 17 years. Other companies cannot sell that drug during that time. This allows the company that developed the drug to sell it exclusively and make back the research money that was spent to develop it. When the patent runs out, drug companies can apply to the Food and Drug Administration to sell generic versions of the drug. And because they don't need to worry about investment costs, the competing companies can often sell the drug for 50%-80% less than the cost of the brand name.

Q: What quality are the generic drugs?

A: Sometimes the generic version of a drug may differ in colour or shape from its brand name counterpart; however, these differences have no effect on the medical action of the drug and are of commercial or patent reasons only

return to top

Q: What are the standards for manufacturing generic drugs?

A: There is no difference between the manufacturing standards set for generic pharmaceutical companies and those set for brand names ones. They both have to pass stringent and regular inspections by the relevant authorities.
