Custom stats tracking is now supported
December 2nd, 2008 Filled under "Announcements"Stats tracking in an online business can never be detailed enough, especially for PPC marketing. We have received a lot of requests from our affiliates asking for an ability to instantly add custom stats tracking (e.g. Google Analytics) that will not be overridden by future store updates. Some of you probably have noticed a file named “custom.tpl” in the last update. That’s it! The only action that is required on your part is to edit this file and put your tracking code. You can put it in 3 different parts of the page:
- right after the <body> tag;
- right after the </body> tag;
- before the </body> tag.
That’s enough for any stats tracking script. Please note that most of the stats tracking scripts are Javascript-based and they should be used between the {literal} marks, otherwise it will cause a parse error in the php script.
